My Favorite Clean Beauty + Hygiene Products

Updated: Apr 14

I am a sucker for some good beauty products and used to consider myself a total product junkie. I love shopping at Sephora and Ulta and have used all the drug store makeup. When I started my health journey in 2015 I had no idea that the products I used every day were actually very harmful for my health. Known carcinogens such as formaldehyde are found in everyday products. These chemicals have been linked to infertility, cancer and delayed puberty in teens. Upon researching the beauty industry further, I learned that Europe has banned over 1400 chemicals from their beauty products and unfortunately America has only banned 30. That’s a little alarming right? At that point, I knew it was up to me to do the research and find companies that I could trust with my health.

I am a firm believer that it is a lot easier to prevent than treat diseases. And a big way we can prevent disease is by living as much of a non-toxic life as possible. We are exposed to so many avoidable toxins every day, from the cleaners we use to the products we put on our skin. Eliminating these can free up the toxic load on your body and allow it to focus on getting rid of the unavoidable toxins our bodies will face throughout the day.

Below I have compiled a list of clean brands that I know to be safe and non-toxic. I’ve used so many of these and once you try them, you won’t want to go back!
